Apologetics Club

What is the Real Presence?

How can a loving God permit so much suffering?

Why be faithful if science seems to explain so much?

Lack of opportunities to engage with the answers to these questions is the #1 reason teenagers leave the Church.

this online club was started by teens, for teens.

To provide space for big questions, and to prepare teens for how to answer when they’re asked. Together, students will learn to defend their faith and, in doing so, will come away with a richer understanding of the tradition they call home.

a | polo | getics (noun):

“reasoned arguments or writings in justification of something, typically a theory or religious doctrine.

“Has anyone ever challenged your faith? Has anyone ever asked you a question about your faith that you didn’t know how to answer? Have you always known the what of your faith but never the why? If you answered yes to any of those questions and you want to better understand what it means to be a Christian in this constantly changing modern world, look no further! The Newman Forum Apologetics Club will be holding meetings on the third Wednesday of every month to try to answer many of the questions that Catholic high schoolers have been faced with in their everyday lives. We will learn how to defend our faith and will work as a team to tackle questions like: How do we really know God exists? If God loves us, how come He lets bad things happen? Why does Jesus matter so much? How can we still have faith in light of new science like the Big Bang Theory? Register today!”
